RSC® Standards of Practice & Code of Ethics

1. All Reiki Spirit Canada® Reiki Classes will be taught using the Reiki Training Manuals from the International Center for Reiki Training® (ICRT®).  Supply one manual per student. 
2. Professional members will supply the Reiki Membership Association (RMA®) certificates for your students.
3. Members of Reiki Spirit Canada® will use the Reiki Spirit Canada® Member's Logo on their website, and in their advertising & literature. 
4. Reply to all Reiki related e-mail and voice mail in a timely and professional way.
5. Use a client information form and session documentation form in your Reiki sessions.
6. Create a safe, comfortable, harmonious space for your sessions and classes, whether they be in person, online or by phone.
7. All of our certification classes enable our graduates to offer healing sessions and/or teach classes both in-person AND online. All of our Reiki Masters have received the upgraded Master Ignition (Upgraded Holy Fire® III Attunement Process) and advanced teachings required to teach/learn Reiki from a distance. *It is important to note that healing sessions have always been available in-person AND through distant healing however Traditional Usui/Holy Fire® Reiki Classes were only available in person until 2020. By choosing to learn from a Reiki Master who has received the upgraded frequency channeled to make it possible to teach both in-person AND from a distance, you will automatically be receiving this new and higher frequency. You will be qualified to teach both in-person AND online as you choose. 
8. When teaching Reiki classes, Reiki Masters at Reiki Spirit Canada® will use the Reiki symbols as drawn by Mrs. Takata for Reiki II & the Master Practitioner symbol; and the Holy Fire® symbol for Reiki Master which are in the Reiki Master manual. Following in the tradition of Reiki, no symbols are taught in Reiki I.
9. Include time for lecture, discussion, demonstration, practice time and questions and answers in all your classes.
10. Reiki I & II will be taught together (Hayashi style).
11. Both the Usui/Tibetan style OR Usui/Holy Fire III® Advanced and Master levels will be taught together as one class.
12. Require that a student have practiced at the Reiki II level for a minimum of six months before training to become a Certified Usui/Tibetan OR Usui/Holy Fire III® Reiki Master.
13. Require that a student have practiced at the Reiki Master level for a minimum of six months before training to become a Certified Karuna® Reiki Master.

As a Professional Member of the RMA®, Morissa uses ICRT® manuals and follows the class outlines provided by the International Center for Reiki Training® for all RSC® Professional Training & Certifications.

1. Confidentiality: No information about our clients will ever be disclosed to third parties. All sessions and related materials are kept strictly confidential.
2. Integrity: I am committed to honesty in all activities and communication.
3. Support: I will maintain a friendly, I will maintain a positive regard toward my clients and students.  I practice self-healing to develop my own Reiki and teaching practice.
4. Non-Competition:  I will work with my students to support each other personally and professionally as needed. The world is in need of compassionate action, and I believe in nurturing the healing power & potential that lives within every heart.
5. Respect: I value my clients and students and treat them with respect. I do not engage in any illegal or immoral activity with my clients or students. I will treat all clients, students, and guests with absolute respect. I will abstain from the use of drugs or alcohol during all professional activities. I am committed to doing my work honestly & with integrity.
6. Honor: I will honor all Reiki practitioners and teachers regardless of lineage or organizational affiliation. I will refrain from making negative statements about other Reiki practitioners or teachers.
7. Educate: I will inform potential clients and students about the value of Reiki and Energy Healing Sessions which are intended to work alongside the care of licensed health care providers when needed.
8. Refer: I acknowledge that Reiki works in conjunction with other forms of medical or psychological care. If a client or student has a medical or psychological condition, suggest, in addition to giving them Reiki treatments, they see a licensed health care provider.
9. Non-Interference: I will never diagnose medical or psychological conditions or prescribe medications or suggest that a client change, or end dosages of substances prescribed by other licensed health care providers or suggest the client change prescribed treatment or interfere with the treatment of a licensed health care provider.
10. Honesty: I will never use another person’s copyrighted material in your classes, website or literature without permission and giving credit.
11. Freedom: I encourage my students to use their own inner guidance in determining who to take classes from including the possibility of studying with more than one teacher.
12. Professional Conduct: I will always act in such a way so as to create and maintain a professional image for the practice of Reiki, Reiki Spirit Canada®, and for the International Center for Reiki Training®, all of my own Master-Teachers whom I am honored to represent and share lineage with.
13. Development: I am involved in the continuing process of healing myself on all levels so as to fully express the essence of Reiki in all I do. I am in agreement with and working to fully express the Usui Ideals. https://www.reiki.org/faqs/reiki-ideals
